Former Bafana Bafana defender Mark Fish has come under fire after tweeting his opinion against the ‘Black Lives Matter’ movement.
It all started on Wednesday morning when Fish liked a tweet that claimed Springbok captain Siya Kolisi was a “BEE appointment” and a racist “just like [former DA leader Mmusi] Maimane.” – and – Fish made it worse when he said: “All lives matter.”
All lives matter…!!

Mark, as a coloured person I am disappointed that you, as someone who must have seen inequality and racism all around the world more than the general public, being non-white urself knowing how uve been treated unfairly, has this mindset. You are cancelled

As a slave of falootball and not getting paid a cent, sacrificing my last cents to honor these guys including Fish, I am deeply hurt by what I read.

Economic Freedom Fighters’s Mbuyiseni Ndlozi also joined the fight of those criticising the former Jomo Cosmos and Orlando Pirates defender.
Mark Fish’s denial of the legitimacy of Black Lives Matter reflects the failure of the rainbow nation ideology his sportsmanship in Bafana Bafana represented. It tells you that within rainbowism is a denial of the black condition, false equality & fake unity!

Later on Wednesday, Fish issued an apology claiming that he feels sorry for those that he offended with his tweet.
“Sorry to offend many people,” he tweeted on his official Twitter account.
“I certainly am not a racist but I am a firm believer in all people matter so all lives matter… no matter our past… focus on today and the future… if you don’t stand for something you will always fall for everything… have a fantastic evening!!”
