Rhulani Mokwena: Pitso Mosimane’s CV is better than Josef Zinnbauer’s CV

Rhulani Mokwena has given a hard-kicking assessment of Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane and Orlando Pirates coach Josef Zinnbauer.

In an interview with Robert Marawa on Metro FM, Mokwena said, “Apart from making this thing about [Josef] Zinnbauer and Pitso Mosimane, there were opportunities to be head coach both locally and outside the country.”

“But the reality is I am still a young coach and I still have a lot to learn which is also a major consideration because with coach Pitso you know that he is going to stay for long and he is a man who is loyal. He is a man that history has shown that he gives himself time and sticks to his contract.

“I can’t say the same about the Pirates coach [Josef Zinnbauer] because I don’t know him. But it was made easier for me because I didn’t think that even now when everyone keeps saying that you would have learned more from Zinnbauer because he is a foreigner. But who said so?

“Because with all due respect if we were to put the two CVs on the table, I mean, coach Pitso is head and shoulders above JZ and this is the humble truth.”

    1. Look RM is right in saying that. My take is that there was no working relationship between JZ and RM. RM will one day come back home to captain the ship to success. All the best to our former coach. ‘Once and always’

  1. Mokoena was not ready for Pirates mentally, he came to pirates to prove a point, that’s why he failed, and failed badly

  2. RM dont be a bitter. You had a chance to impress and what happened? You failed to impress as OPFC coach. Results make the CV of a coach not internet research of theories that you have been into. Grow up young boy.

  3. RM my brother pirates give you chance to show what you are capable of and you fail that’s true and the whole world knows that…. 🤔 So take my advice, focus on your job and stop big mouth….. During your time at Orlando Pirates I was happy to see you and boys doing well ( winning trophies) but things didn’t work out…… Build your future and i hope we will meet again sigodini saka mabizela.

  4. I don’t think rulani failed at pirates just that we were not patient with him. And i feel that he was backstab by the regulars under Mico. We got to see young players playing, the realty is. That jele didn’t like the guy and he is influenced player i remember he costed pirates in 3 games that pirates where suppose to win, and played draw. Polokwane city, Celtics we were leading 2nil but they come back and equiliz
