BREAKING: Kaizer Chiefs fire coach Ernst Middendorp

Kaizer Chiefs have fired coach Ernst Middendorp with immediate effect.

“After reviews conducted by Kaizer Chiefs Chairman Kaizer Motaung and the club’s management,  the Board met on Wednesday afternoon and a decision was made to part ways with coach Ernst Middendorp with immediate effect,” read a statement on the club’s website.

“Middendorp joined Chiefs on 7 December 2018. In his first six months in charge, the German coach took Amakhosi to ninth position on the Absa Premiership table and reached the Nedbank Cup final.

“Chairman Kaizer Motaung thanks Middendorp for his efforts and work: We wish him all the best for the future.
