Benfica have signed centre-back Nicolas Otamendi from Manchester City for £15-million on a three-year contract.
“Nicolas Otamendi has left Manchester City and signed a permanent deal with Benfica,” City said in a statement.
“The 32-year-old defender embarks on a new challenge in Portugal after five years of fantastic service during which he helped the Club lift every major honour in English football.”
