AmaZulu FC on Monday announced the appointment of former Bafana Bafana striker Benni McCarthy as their new head coach. The former Cape Town City coach is replacing Ayanda Dlamini who stepped down from the post a week ago.

“Mr. McCarthy takes over the head coaching reins following the voluntary stepping down of former head coach Mr. Ayanda Dlamini earlier this week. The appointment means that interim coach Allan Freese will assume his role as [an] assistant coach.
