Leonardo Castro: We have to win the game against Stellenbosch FC

Kaizer Chiefs striker Leonardo Castro is eyeing a third win in a row when Amakhosi face Stellenbosch FC in a league match on Tuesday.

Chiefs grabbed the Soweto Derby bragging rights on the 21st of March 2021 after beating Orlando Pirates 1-0 at FNB Stadium in Johannesburg, and then Amakhosi secured a vital CAF Champions League win despite receiving two red cards against Wydad AC at FNB Stadium on Saturday, 3 April 2021.

“We all know Stellenbosch is a tough team,” Castro told his club’s official website.

“We need to focus on ourselves and we need to keep the good mentality that we have developed over the last few games. It’s going to help us and encourage us for the clash against Stellies.

“We have to win the game so we can improve from our last performance. We need to take each and every game with responsibility so we can finish the season in good shape.

“I am available for the team in case the coach wants to use me. I am ready and eager to go. I want to contribute and give my best.”

A 3-0 win at FNB Stadium in Johannesburg on Tuesday afternoon will take Chiefs from 9th place to 8th place with 26 points after 20 matches.
