Kaizer Chiefs head coach Gavin Hunt said they need at least 17 points in their last 10 league games to finish in the top-eight this season.
Chiefs joined Mamelodi Sundowns in the quarter-finals of the CAF Champions League after coming back twice from behind to hold Guinea side Horoya AC at General Lansana Conte Stadium on Saturday.
Chiefs now turn their focus to the league as they gear up to face Baroka FC at New Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane on Thursday.
“We will need another 17 points to get to the top and that’s minimum. Now, 17 in 10 [DStv Premiership] games,” Hunt said.
“PSL (Premier Soccer League) football is totally different from the [CAF] Champions League. Champions League is much slower‚ physical‚ much more direct‚ where the PSL is much more movement. So you’ve got to adapt. And we’ve got a hell of a game with Baroka on Thursday.
“The travelling to the stadium [in Guinea] was an absolute disaster – two hours in a car. We will regroup and try to go from there.”
