Kaizer Chiefs have launched a limited edition ‘Kaizer 77’ shirt that will cost fans a crazy R2999.

“In celebration of the Executive Chairman’s 77th birthday year, Kaizer Chiefs have made available a LIMITED EDITION special for the Amakhosi Faithful. Supporters saw the Senior Team wearing the home jersey numbered 77 on the Chairman’s birthday (16th October) as a tribute to him after which they defeated Chippa United 4-0 in a win dedicated to him and the Kaizer Chiefs supporters,” the club said on their website.

“The club will only print 77 jerseys and make them available on a first come first serve basis.

“In addition, the jersey will be signed by the Chairman Kaizer Motaung underneath the Kaizer Chiefs badge and a personalised letter signed by ‘Chincha Guluva’ will also be included as part of this exclusive deal.

“This can be a perfect Christmas or birthday gift to a loved one as they will have an exclusive product that only a few in the country will be able to get their hands on.

“The club was waiting for the right opportunity to make this special limited offering available to supporters. It was part of the Club’s plans in celebrating the Chairman’s 77th year.”

Marketing Director Jessica Motaung said: “For the Chairman to be able to share this moment with our important stakeholders, the supporters are very important to the entire Kaizer Chiefs family. With Covid keeping us far from each other, we look at innovative ways of getting closer to our supporters.”
