TS Galaxy have completed the signing of former Swallows FC and Mamelodi Sundowns defender Vuyo Mere.

“TS Galaxy Football Club is thrilled to announce the signing of Vuyo Mere, the seasoned right-back who was previously in the books of Swallows FC,” the statement read.

“Mere has penned an 18-month deal with the Rockets. He boasts a wealth of experience in the elite league having risen to prominence back in 2001.”

TS Galaxy FC President Tim Sukazi explained why the club signed the former Bafana Bafana defender.

“We are quite delighted to have secured a player of Vuyo’s caliber. I have always regarded him as a ‘Dani Alves’ of South African football,” Sukazi said.

“He is a born leader who has a lot of knowledge to impart amongst our young crop of players. He certainly still has a lot to contribute in the field of play despite his many years in the game.”
