AS Nancy have unveiled their new PUMA home and away shirts they will be pulling on for the 2020/21 Ligue 1 season.
The home kit celebrates the club’s historic colours with the two red stripes that first appeared on the front of the shirt in 1978.
To add modernity, these two stripes are also visible on the lower back. On their sides, the sleeves are red to highlight the round neck and thus the design. Finally, the Lorraine thistle, symbol of Nancy, is also present to pay homage to the city.
The away shirt combines the club’s past and Nancy’s culture. PUMA has given way to its creativity to restore the green colour visible on the 1990 jersey.
The equipment manufacturer has decided to modernize it by adding a powerful design in which the Place Stanislas is represented.
The black band on the sleeves as well as the V-neck bring out the motifs of the “Place Stan” and bring relief. By illustrating this iconic location on the front of the jersey, PUMA pays homage to a symbol of the city of Nancy and continues to nurture the link between football and culture.
For the launch of the shirts, a video was made in which PUMA express the architecture and certain elements of the city. A way to promote Nancy’s heritage and thus offer content that will make Nancy residents proud.
