PSV Eindhoven revealed their new 2020/21 away shirt from PUMA Football.
New away kit pays homage to musical heritage: PSV, founded in 1913 under the name Philips Sport Vereniging, is deeply connected to Eindhoven, which has a rich history in the development of the music industry.
Philips invented the compact disc and mass-produced radios and vinyl, whilst creating a successful record label. The new PSV away kit pays homage to this musical heritage with a Philips-blue shirt.
The subtly applied sound wave graphics on the shirt symbolize PSV’s connections with local music artists who embrace PSV as much as PSV embraces them.
In tribute to the city of Eindhoven and PSV, Eindhoven’s hip-hop artist Fresku has made a song and clip teasing the new away kit. The shirt is gradually revealed on a specially designed website in relation to the number of streams of the song.
The more viewers, the more details of the shirt were revealed. This is the world’s first shirt reveal unlocked by streams. The music video features several PSV players.
