“We deliberated and considered many aspects related to the team, including our way of playing, our performances and the results before coming to the decision,” Motaung told the club’s official website.
“We truly believed and hoped that our 50th anniversary year would be better, and it indeed looked promising. The decision taken is part of a strategy to have the team win trophies again and to make our supporters happy because they deserve better.
“After giving the coach and the technical team the ammunition required to compete in the new season. There were some improvements, and this was evident during the first seven months of this 2019/2020 season.
“However, when the league restarted post-lockdown, things changed, and we looked a totally different side in our last eight league matches. We witnessed some heart-stopping performances and we were overtaken on the log in the last game of the season, which truly broke our hearts. We have to take responsibility – we can’t wait and allow this situation to continue.”

Thanks Chairman Mr Motaung it’s true we are not happy at all i don’t blame you to fired Ernst…now can you please take Hunt and buy a young stars players because Parker and Katsande they Cost us big time..Thanks
Thank you mr Motaung
And please don’t let Bobby to dictate the coach anymore, coach must have free will as to who to play and which players should be bought/brought on board to accomplish the team’s vision. Coaching with dictatorship compromises the quality of football the team must play.
Middendorp is gone but Bobby is left why. That boy is costing us a lot. Its high time that the management should change and we get new management.
Thanks chair chiefs is a big team we don’t deserve this
Good decision, now Chiefs need to bring new blood,Given Thibedi loaned to Moroka Swallows is doing miracles,we need him,as for Katsande that guy cost us with his unnecessary tackles, the goal against Baroka caused by his unnecessary tackle against a Baroka player, against Leopard it was him and against Mariztburg it was him….as for Bernard Parker that guy is disgraced need to be replaced ASAP,there nothing to expect from him now…Thanks
There is no way that we can get rid of the problem but we leave out the symptoms. What I mean is remove Bobby Motaung from the position he is holding and get someone who will be neutral but productive. It cannot be correct that we don’t see that there’s nothing wrong if we don’t have scouters peopl like Malombo Lechaba are with Sundowns do even have one.
