Premier Soccer League side SuperSport United, who are owned by MultiChoice/DStv, have commented on reports that the club will soon be sold.
United have denied that the club will be sold ahead of DStv’s (a division of the MultiChoice Group) sponsorship deal with the Premier Soccer League (PSL), after Absa withdrew from their partnership with the league at the end of 2019/20.
“We have been made aware of the rumours and speculation regarding the potential sale of the club,” a club statement read.
“These are untrue. We can categorically state that there have been no such approaches and, more importantly, the club is not up for sale.”
