To pave way for this weekend’s highly-anticipated 2020/21 campaign kick-off, the Premier Soccer League (PSL) together with sponsors MTN will launch the MTN8 competition.
You can watch the launch LIVE at 18h30 on the PSL Channel (SuperSport 202). The MTN8 will usher back domestic football following a brief off-season break.
SuperSport United are the defending champions after they beat Highlands Park in the final at last season’s final at Orlando Stadium.
The Quarter-Final Weekend:
The first quarter-final fixture will be played on Saturday at 15h00 between Tshakhuma FC and defending champions, SuperSport United at Thohoyandou Stadium.
The second match on the day will see Orlando Pirates play Cape Town City in what is expected to be a highly contested encounter at 18h00 at Orlando Stadium.
The following day, Sunday, 18 October 2020, Kaizer Chiefs are at home to Eric Tinkler’s Maritzburg United at FNB Stadium in Soweto. The match is at 15h00.
At 18h00, Mamelodi Sundowns and Bloemfontein Celtic will renew their cup rivalry when they clash at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Tshwane.
