Bafana Bafana coach Molefi Ntseki has called up five players to plug the gap following withdrawals of key players ahead of the back-to-back 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Sao Tome and Principe.
Abbubaker Mobara and Thamsanqa Mkhize were the first players to depart after they tested positive for Covid-19; and Andile Jali, Reeve Frosler, Thulani Serero and Thibang Phete are also out due to sustaining injuries.
Ntseki had to call up a number of replacements with Vincent Pule, Thabo Nodada, Thapelo Morena, Mosa Lebusa and Tshepo Rikhotso all drafted into the squad.
South Africa will face Sao Tome and Principe in back-to-back Cameroon 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers in South Africa on the 13th of November 2020 and the 16th of November 2020.
