SAFA send condolences to Khune family

The South African Football Association (SAFA) has extended its heartfelt condolences to the Khune family following the passing of Bafana Bafana and Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper, Itumeleng Khune’s sister, Mapula Khune.

“The South African Football Association (SAFA) would like to send its heartfelt condolences to the Khune family following the passing of Bafana Bafana and Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper, Itumeleng Khune’s sister, Mapula on Thursday, 4 March 2021,” SAFA said in a statement.

“Mapula Khune died on Thursday morning after the room in which she was sleeping caught fire in Ventersdorp in the North West Province.”

‘’On behalf of SAFA and the football fraternity, I would like to offer my condolences to the Khune family on their loss. We hope the Almighty will give you strength during this difficult period. May the soul of Mapula rest in peace,’’ SAFA President Dr Danny Jordaan said as quoted on SAFA’s official website.
