Premier League side Everton have confirmed the sacking of manager Rafa Benitez.
Benitez had signed a three-year contract in June 2021 but was dismissed after Everton lost six of their last ten league games.
“Everton Football Club can confirm the departure of Rafael Benitez as First Team manager,” the club said on their official website.
“Benitez, who joined Everton in June 2021, has left the Club with immediate effect.
“An update on a permanent replacement will be made in due course.”
